A Happy Point is a collectible throughout the Chibi-Robo! series found by accomplishing various actions and making other characters happy. Happy Points may be used to increase the Chibi-Ranking, converted into Watts, or used as a currency, depending on the game.
History
While George Ebisu was working on designing a new Robot to save Citrusoft Robotics from bankruptcy after the energy crisis caused by Giga-Robos, he began by focusing on making it energy-efficient. However, Ebisu's supervisor knew that energy-efficiency alone wouldn't solve their issues and was only the easy part of the solution. In a creative rut, Ebisu read a note from his wife that said he'd made her so happy and encouraged him to share his gifts with others to make them happy, too. This was the push Ebisu needed, causing him to recognize happiness as the other key component to designing his new robot, which became Chibi-Robo.
Chibi-Robo! Plug Into Adventure!
In Chibi-Robo! Plug Into Adventure!, Happy Points are earned by making others happy, whether by cleaning up Stains, throwing away Trash, or just doing something nice for someone. Happy Points are used to increase Chibi-Robo's Chibi-Ranking, which is done by plugging into the Outlet inside of the Chibi-House. If Chibi-Robo reaches certain milestone Chibi-Rankings, Citrusoft Robotics will reward him with Bonus Batteries to increase his maximum Watt capacity.
