Kid Eggplant is an eggplant-like character who was inside a treasure chest up the tree in the Backyard. The treasure chest can only be dug up after the Treasure Maps have been received from Captain Plankbeard, and the Chibi-Radar can be used to find where to dig. After he is rescued, Kid Eggplant rewards Chibi-Robo by turning him into an eggplant, but Chibi-Robo doesn't like it and wants to be turned back into a robot. He gives Chibi-Robo a Super Eggplant that must be given to the Blue Bird. After this, he leaves and isn't seen again.

He strongly resembles a character from Wrecking Crew called Eggplant Man. Him turning Chibi-Robo into an eggplant could also be a reference to the Kid Icarus series, with the Eggplant Wizard turning the player into eggplants as well.
