Mesa is a toy character in the game Okaeri! Chibi-Robo! Happy Richie Ōsōji!. She is a plastic shark, and is first found in the kitchen sink. She gives Chibi-Robo a set of scuba gear to navigate under water without any risk to himself.

Story
Mesa can be first be encountered upon entering the kitchen after getting Iberico's police outfit and scaring away the mouse blocking the gap in the curtain allowing entry. When first seeing her it's from the rightmost side of the kitchen counter during a cutscene outside of Chibi-Robo's view. Chibi-Robo and Telly's first direct interaction with Mesa is upon standing on the pot holder with her picture on it next to the sink. During this scene, Mesa tries to eat Chibi-Robo! Humorously due to his being made of metal, she can't carry through with this choice because it hurts her to do so.
Afterwards, Mesa gifts Chibi-Robo a set of scuba gear... by dumping it into the water, and not allowing him to reach it. In order to get past her at this point Chibi-Robo needs to get to Keith's room to pick up something spicy. But if you need some easy Happy Points you can find a red tomato on the kitchen shelf by pulling the toaster to the rightmost edge and hopping into it to be launched up to the shelf. This will please Mesa and loosen her negative candor slightly.
After progressing in the game past the ghost blocking Chibi-Robo's way by demanding greed and refusing passage until Chibi-Robo coughs up 500 of it, Chibi-Robo can enter Keith's room and become the apprentice to Habanero, a luchador who's catchphrase is "oui" as much as it is "ow!" Using green tomatoes from the garden obtained from Ketchup, you can dip them in Habanero's hot sauce and create a spicy red tomato. Then return to the kitchen and give Mesa a shock while she's trying to cool off from consuming her spicy surprise by draining the sink so Chibi-Robo can reach the Scuba Suit. After this Chibi-Robo can freely travel through the water pipes throughout the game, though Chibi-Robo doesn't need to pick up the Scuba Suit in order to enter the water, Chibi-Robo doesn't need it to do anything in the water other than drain Chibi-Robo's battery. The suit allows you to swim by pressing L or R.
After this Mesa can be found in the pool of water in Keith's room again. A cutscene between her and Habanero plays that make Chibi-Robo and Telly feel like third wheels, or maybe just Telly if Chibi-Robo decides he fits in. After this Chibi-Robo has to progress Habanero's storyline to a certain point, when he loses his mask, and then find it in the drain system. Chibi-Robo can't get past the grating that the mask is stuck behind so they return to Mesa to ask for help getting it. Mesa feigns not caring or being indignant towards Habanero's struggles, but secretly goes to search the water pipes for the exact spot where Habanero's mask is. Chibi-Robo has to return to the spot as well, and there they witness Mesa sacrificing her teeth to save Habanero's mask, which she then leaves once found out after destroying the grate blocking the way, leaving her now shattered smile all over the floor.
After returning the mask Habanero notices a sharp, white tooth in it. He doesn't realize it belonged to Mesa in this moment. Mesa and Habanero have a heart-to-heart about her loss of teeth and his joy for getting the mask back. He does not realize this is a tooth. After some time, Habanero goes to nap, and Mesa hints at showing affection for Habanero who is too dense to understand it. Though it's never particularly clear if it's platonic or romantic feelings, Mesa goes on to go out of her way to witness Habanero's later comeback.
The next day timecycle Mesa is thrown in the toilet by Keith for no longer being cool due to her lack of teeth. This scene triggers the next time cycle that you enter the bathroom following the initial day or night that you encounter the last scene on. Mesa is stuck in the toilet! She has to be saved, but Chibi-Robo and Telly aren't able to do it on their own. After some debate, Mesa orders the robotic duo to get "Dumbanero", Mesa's fun friendly ribbing nickname for Habanero. Doing so causes Habenero to get lost along the way and eventually find the right way to the bathroom, where he uses all his strength to push Mesa down into the pipes. Then Habanero gets stuck and Chibi-Robo and Telly must flush him down the drain, unlocking access to clean the top of the toilet of its dirt.
After flushing Habanero, a cutscene plays where he and Mesa meet in the drainage pipes. He catches her lamenting her lost teeth and realizes she sacrificed her teeth for his sake! Habanero will not let this action go unpaid, so he asks her what he can do to pay her back. All Mesa asks of Habanero is that he wins the Championship, so to finish up this storyline you have to go to the Casino in the Attic and fight the Ghost Brothers again. During the fight, Mesa shows up to cheer on Habanero, though she denies this. She reminds Habanero of his special move, and he uses it to win the fight. Then Mesa is pulled into the ring with Habanero, Chibi-Robo and Telly for a group photo of the champions.
After this, a picture is added to the Hallway wall, closest to the front door of the house.
Trivia
- You can make Mesa regrow her teeth after losing them at pretty much any time by playing the guitar you get from Ketchup. It's unknown how this happens, but Ketchup's guitar causes tomatoes to grow in, so there may be a further supernatural element that Ketchup is unaware of.
- Until Mesa regrows her teeth she'll talk about how much she would love to have a bright red, juicy tomato.
- Mesa is based on a great white shark or a megalodon in appearance.
