Sophie's Blog

Revision as of 17:15, 12 October 2020 by Hoshcof (talk | contribs) (Added August 2005 entries)

Sophie's blog was a promotional blog published in Japan from 2005-2007. It is written from the perspective of Sophie. Its official title is ベログ ("Belog"), a pun on Sophie's Japanese name, "Bebe," and "blog." It retells certain events from Chibi-Robo! Plug Into Adventure!, remarks on how the household members are doing after the game, and shares excerpts from Mrs. Sanderson's college diary. Because it came out before Chibi-Robo! Park Patrol's release, it also mentions real-life promotional events for that game, which Sophie claims to have attended in-person.

August 2005

August 24

Sophie is excited, because today is the first day I write for this blog.
Lately, it’s more popular to write on a PC than in a diary.
When Sophie was taking a walk in the entryway, I heard the Free Rangers gossiping about me.
“She jumps into new fads so quickly…”
But, but, Sophie is a girl who lives in the now!
From the pen to the era of the keyboard.
Just, please, don’t look at me slamming into the keyboard like this...
Anyway, love letters mean more than emails, and I would like to hand a letter over directly...
Kyaaa! I said it!

Today, Dinah fell from the loft in Mama and Papa’s room and broke apart.
While on my walk, I tried to sneak a peek.
It was amazing. She had fallen apart amazingly.
But it’s her job to fall apart, right?
Is it cold of Sophie to think like that?
This summer is so hot.
Sophie looks up to cool women. I want to be like that.

The hot days continue.
Mama has already declared that the family needs to conserve energy.
Chibi-Robo tried to cool Papa down with his Chibi-Copter, but Mama was still mad because that also used up electricity.
Now they just do it behind her back...
Seeing what Papa did, Peekoe said it was worth it to use energy to train, and they began turning red on the kitchen stove.
It looks so hot I want to stop it, but at least it makes for a good story.
Ah, Sophie needs to be cool.

By the way, this is the time of year to be busy with summer homework, but Jenny is still sleeping.
Because Sophie is a toy, I must not move when the family is nearby. But I think it’s lonely when no one is around. So I like when no one is home and when everyone is home.
Does it make Sophie a bad woman to take a walk around the entrance behind their back?
But what can you do?
I think that’s the Free Ranger’s job anyway!!
I won’t fall victim to the temptation of summer!

Actually, it was hectic a few days ago.
Because the “Nintendo Official Guidebook of Chibi-Robo” launched, photographers came and took lots of photos of the Sanderson family.
Sophie wanted a normal picture, and they asked me to just act natural.
I don’t know if they used Sophie’s photos... But the thought makes my heart beat with excitement.
Is it okay to be exposed like that to the public before getting married?
One day, bride Sophie will say...
Kya! That’s embarrassing!
“If someday, I’m married to you, Drake Redcrest...”
Oh no, I said the word!

Thinking about yesterday’s diary entry, I wrote about “Nintendo Official Guidebook of Chibi-Robo,” but what is it exactly?
I overheard Funky Phil’s dance music in Mama and Papa’s bedroom, and a moody Enka song. I found out after sneaking upstairs and peeking in that they were recording a soundtrack CD as a bonus for the book!
I’m surprised that there will be a music CD in a book. It’s a great book, right?
Then Telly came out of the bedroom and said, “I’ll pick up the sound of the Sanderson household, so just act natural.” How exciting!
Well, saying it so suddenly, uh, um...
Before I knew it, the recording session was over.
Sophie, did you do your CD debut properly?
