Jenny Sanderson gives Chibi-Robo the Chibi-Vacuum on the first day of the game. Chibi-Robo can only use the Chibi-Vacuum when he's plugged in to an outlet, and doing so will consume the house's watts.

At first the Chibi-Vacuum can only clean dust, but it can be upgraded to allow Chibi-Robo to clean up dirt and other messes that would otherwise need to be cleaned up by the Brush. Dust that's sucked up by the Chibi-Vacuum may be thrown in the Trash Can to replenish the house's energy, or it can be used in the Sieve to find ores.

While vacuuming, the player can achieve milestones for vacuuming at certain distances. Most of these require upgrading the length of Chibi-Robo's cord.

The Chibi-Vacuum is primarily used in cleaning segments with Joshy Bear. This Chibi-Gear serves the same purpose as it does in the previous title, however it can only clean up dust and cannot be upgraded to clean up other messes. Unlike the previous title, Chibi-Robo no longer needs to be connected to an outlet, and instead the vacuum will rely on Chibi's battery.

Dust bags can be thrown out and replaced with new, empty ones. They cannot be used to obtain ores through the Sieve. Instead, they're used to reward the player with Happy Points at the end of each cleaning segment.
